Xander gives off the appearance of someone who has nothing better to do than waste time, and though that is mostly true he also has a great deal going on behind the scenes.

        Xander has a very laid back personality. He isn't quick to get angry, but he does hold a grudge if you do push him hard enough. He is the master at laughing to your face and stabbing you         through the heart if you wrong him. He is quick with a sarcastic remark and is rarely seen without a smile on his face. He is exceedingly friendly, especially to pretty human girls, and will         be the first to offer to buy someone a drink. This open nature is warm and inviting, but it hides a dark killer who wouldn't think twice about breaking the laws if it was necessary. He loves         his life as a vampire, and if it weren't for the accords and Nephilim he would have thought becoming a vampire was heaven on earth.

Xander was born into a poor family in London and quickly given up to an orphanage. Xander spent most of his childhood learning how to survive and fight his way to the top, often times being on the loosing end. He grew up quickly and harshly. The years went on and through his teenage years he still found himself having to fight and work hard to survive. Throughout these years  a female vampire named Arabelle set her sights on him. He was working at the docks and dreaming of traveling to America when she changed him. For most, vampirism was not a happy choice. For Xander however it was as if he had been born for it. Xander adapted quickly to the lifestyle loving his new strength and powers. Xander and Arabelle traveled throughout England together, Arabelle teaching him every step of the way. She guided him in every aspect of his new life and he loved her almost like a mother.  There was nothing romantic between them, they simply loved each others company. Xander thought he would never leave her side, and for a long time he didn't. Then Arabelle fell in love and soon it became clear he was holding her back.

Xander then decided it was time to allow himself his human goal: to travel to America. Xander has been in New York for almost 50 years and enjoys his place in the clan. He started Pandemonium and while it is not the only source of his income it does certainly provide him with enough that he could have ever needed. Xander still enjoys being a vampire though the Nephilim have tightened down on the rules in the past 100 years. He hasn't been approached by the Shadowkeepers, but he has heard word of what they do. While Xander hasn't agreed to anything yet, he feels that the time to choose may be upon him.
